Crosswalk Closure / Sidewalk Restriction
Construction Fencing will be present at the Terminal 3 North Outer Curb to facilitate the construction of the concourse connector bridge over Sky Harbor Boulevard.
Various traffic control configurations will be in place nightly to the North of Terminal 3 (Each Week, Sundays through Thursdays).
Restriction configurations will include:
- Eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard Lane Restrictions and Full Roadway Closures
- Eastbound Terminal 3 Inner Curb Lane Restrictions and Full Roadway Closures
- North Terminal Parking Garage Access Ramp Closures
This work will be managed to ensure terminal access and through traffic will be maintained during any of the above noted configurations. Scheduled roadway impacts will be communicated on a weekly basis and are subject to change. Please watch for important notices related to these restrictions.
Scope
Construction is now underway on the new Terminal 3, N2 Concourse at Sky Harbor International Airport, a major expansion that began in 2025 and will continue through 2027. The 173,000-square-foot, multi-level facility will deliver six additional aircraft gates with world-class amenities to accommodate growing air traffic demands. The design features a passenger level with gate hold rooms, restrooms, and retail spaces; an upper mezzanine level with lounge, back-of-house areas, and exterior terrace; enhancing both operational efficiency and the guest experience.
Status
Demolition of existing finishes is ongoing at the future concourse site to prepare for underground utility installation and foundation work. Construction of the transfer bridge is scheduled to commence in August 2025 and will continue through 2026.
